Panna cotta is an Italian dessert. In Italy, It means ‘cooked cream’. It is a molded chilled dessert popular throughout Italy. It is unmolded just before serving, but you can serve it in pretty dessert glasses as well.The main ingredients of this dessert are cream and gelatine.
This desert is very light and airy. It is easy to make and can be prepared in advance. There are many ways to make it, but the easiest way is to simply mix milk and cream and heat this mixture, adding some gelatin and sweetener, and letting it cool until set.

I bought some fresh strawberries from market few days back. At first I thought I would make strawberry pannacotta. But later I decided to add another flavour with it . What can be this other flavour rather than mild, delicious coconut milk?

Ingredients For Coconut PannaCotta Coconut Milk – 200 ml Cream – 200 ml Sugar – 1/4 cup Gelatine – 1/2 tablespoon Cold Water – 2 tablespoons Chopped Coconut Chunks – 1/2 cup Ingredients For Strawberry Jelly Strawberries – 500 grams Gelatine – 1/2 tablespoon Cold Water – 2 tablespoons Sugar- 1/2 cup ( adjust sugar level according to the sweetness of strawberry) Normal water – 1/4 cup Chopped Strawberries -1/2 cup Method Of Making Coconut Pannacotta Add 1/2 tablespoon gelatine in a bowl Add 2 tablespoons cold water in that bowl Mix well with fork, keep aside for 5 minutes to be set Add 200ml coconut milk in a heat proof pan Add 200ml cream in that pan Add sugar, mix everything together very well Heat the mixture, do not boil it, remove the pan before the mixture will start boiling Place a glass in slanting position in a small bowl Add few chopped coconuts Pour coconut pannacotta, keep this in the refrigerator for minimum 5 hours to set Method Of Making Strawberry Jelly Again mix 1/2 tablespoon gelatine with 2 tbsp water,keep it aside to set Cut strawberries into 4 pieces, keep 1/2 cup chopped strawberries aside Add remaining chopped strawberries in a heat proof pan Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup normal water Mix well, and boil it for 5 minutes Blend it in a blender Pour the sauce through a strainer in a bowl Add gelatine mixture into strawberry puree, mix well Take out the coconut pannacotta filled glass from fridge after 5 hours Add some chopped strawberries Pour some strawberry jelly into the glass to fill the empty space Again keep in the fridhe for 2hours Strawberry Pannacotta is ready to serve Make sure about the measurements of gelatin and cold water , if you do not take the right proportion of gelatin and water, desserts will not be set properly. If you do not want to use gelatin, you can also use agar agar or china grass. You would get the same results You can use 3 tsp of chopped agar agar strands or 1 teaspoon agar agar powder You have to soak agar agar into 1/2cup warm water Make sure both the agar agar solution and the cream mixture should be hot when you mix them. In case one of them cools, Panna Cotta would not set well Agar agar strands or powder are available easily in Indian metro cities.
